The National Honor Society is a nationwide organization for high school students in the United States and outlying territories, which consists of many chapters in high schools. Selection is based on four criteria: scholarship, leadership, service, and character.
The NCHS Reading Bowl Team is for students who wish to compete in the annual Helen Ruffin Reading Bowl. They will read and study books nominated for the Georgia Peach Book Awards and compete on the county, district and state level. All 9th -12th students are eligible to participate.
